Salem

Stare long enough into the night,

Until you see the stars

And when your eyes become familiar with their shapes,

Watch them fade,

Die,

before the break of a new sun

Life is joy,

and suffering

Fabricated dreams drawn in the clouds

changing at the blow of the first wind

It is easier to accept the night

Faceless,

Blameless,

than the day

Before a thousand eyes,

peering into your soul

ripping your guts for the vultures

When church is where we belonged

Before the priest set afire on the witch

And in all,

my short life I have cherished

Known a thousand men but one soul

With no regrets,

my ashes will be swept along Salem’s streets

I don’t wanna die

Loyalty and honesty
Pledge the heart on a stab
Is it fear or survival?

As I slept,
The world calmed,
And the shadows disappeared

When I awoke,
The winds roared,
Squeaking sheets on the roof

He accepts mortality
Unchained from its ghosts,
And dines with the present

The roses in the park,
Unfeigned smiles he sees,
enjoying the colours of the young moon

I run he stands,
The mysteries of my life,
Archives he loves to read

I love to fear
He loves to dare
We live to love

This life,
The truth of the eye
What to happen in the next second?

On the far beyond

I smile at the falling rains,
But cry within,
Letting the cold drops wash my tears
Before the dawn of the sun

I walk with my head raised high,
But,
with a withering spirit,
I stride along a lone path

This life,
A voyage on the sea
Amidst ripples and waves,
Searching for a significance

With the winds against my sails
Broken,
The mast,
and the compass

So I bury my grief,
Casting my eyes unto the stars
That even though my moon hides,
I sail

And to my grave,
Shall I carry my scars,
With these bleeding wounds,
To heal on the far beyond
